Being a Korean American Adoptee in the Peace Corps (Zambia)

August 14, 2019August 19, 2019Leave a comment

Upon first meeting me, people can easily conclude from my features that my ethnicity is Asian. I have thick black hair, small monolid eyes, and a flat nose. Found my Korean birth family via email

Find things.

I'm a Korean American adoptee who returned "home" to discover my birth culture, foster the relationship with my biological family, travel, and teach. Since 2012, I traversed Asia and Australia on a small budget while not skimping on experiences. I share some stories and travel guides to get you started on a life on the road. I served as an aquaculture Peace Corps volunteer in Zambia from 2018 until being evacuated in March 2020 due to COVID-19.
