I’ve been recording one-second video clips every day since 2014. This has been a great way to preserve those memories from all of our travels. I highly recommend the 1 Second Everyday app to do the same! You will enjoy looking back at those videos. There is something beautiful to capture every single day, no matter how mundane. Check out my other One Second Every Day video clips!
One second clips of July 2019! The month started off during our trek at Mount Mulanje in Malawi followed by some wildlife spotting at South Luangwa National Park in Eastern Zambia. I am not the biggest fan of safaris, but I figured I should experience one while living here in Zambia. South Luangwa did not disappoint! We saw zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, lions, hyenas, birds, and even a leopard! Nearby South Africa and Tanzania are famed for their safaris, but I recommend stopping by Zambia for a unique and intimate experience on a small budget.
From there, we had our mid-term conference in Lusaka, making the half-way point of our Peace Corps service. We took this opportunity to visit our host family from training before heading back to Kasama for yet another Peace Corps meeting. After a month away from our community, we finally returned back home and immediately jumped back into work. While I love traveling, I am started to slow down and appreciate having a home base for the first time in years.
