Random Korean Interaction #3: Beautiful Legs

Most elementary school staff compete in volleyball games with neighboring schools. Today’s competition was more like an eating party while we watched our team lose, but it was still enjoyable to cheer them on and keep up the spirits.

We all wore the same uniform short; I wore black gym shorts. A fifth grade girl stopped me in the hallway and exclaimed, “Teacher, wow, shorts! It is okay because you have beautiful legs”. An “A” for you

  1. Hi Lianne,

I have stumbled upon your blog by researching the Epik program. I can relate to you in alot of ways because I am also a Korean adoptee. Like you, I was never interested in the korean side of my life. I had a pretty much perfect American life. This past June my family and I went on a Korean Homeland Journey to Korea. It was a life changing experience. I am now looking to explore my Korean roots and learning the language.

I am now in the process of looking at different teaching programs in Korea. I would love to talk and ask you a couple of questions if you wouldn’t mind 🙂 My email is rachellattier@gmail.com

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
