Happy Father’s Day

I always think about my birth parents on my birthday, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day and wonder what they’re doing, if they ever think of me. This time, I am fortunate to have two fathers to love. Some people have an absent father, so I feel a bit guilty for having two. I should share.

Before taking my dad out for breakfast, I got many photos and voice messages from my birth family via Kakao. I listened over and over to my 아빠 saying, “윤희야, 사랑해” (Yoonhee, I love you). I listened over and over to all of the Korean messages and the happy family photos, being there in spirit. It is my 아빠 60th birthday, a milestone in Korea. They are all celebrating in a pension near a beach in Korea.

My energy levels are up and I’m finally feeling like myself again. Happy and cheerful.
